Faculty Development
This faculty online development course was developed to teach faculty how to design and teach online courses and incorporated quality matters in the course modules. There were a total of 10 modules created using SoftChalk software. Below are links to some of the modules in this course.
Course Design
- Developed course template for entire organization
- Edited Images and added to test questions in Spanish and Art Courses
- Utilized Drag and Drop Test questions on images in quizzes
- Edited and Converted Lectures from ISpring to video files MP4 format
- Edited and Converted Audio Lectures to Mp3 Format and then converted to Text format for APA compliance

- Edited and converted video files for inserting into discussion forums, assignments, and test questions
- Imported Test questions from Publishers into courses using Respondus and ExamView
- Created video instructions for faculty to know how to create lectures using ISpring and PowerPoint
- Create video instructions for students to learn how to create PowerPoints with audio for assignments
- Used Workshop Collaboration feature in LMS to provide collaboration between students for assignments and reviewing audio PowerPoints

Other Academic Examples Created for Faculty
1) Test appeals: Created a test appeals interactive pdf form for the student to send feedback to instructor on the grading of an examination taken online.
2) EAR: Excused Absence Request fillable pdf form for those who miss class due to authorized travel, etc but need to stay current.
3) Advisement: My own Moodle page for academic advisers. I am probably the only faculty member doing this. I love having scheduler for students to sign-up for advisement times.
4) UIL Online: I absolutely love the graphic that we got permission to use from the UIL office on the main page to the UIL Rules class.
Quality Courses

- Reviewed courses to ensure quality according to Quality Matters rubrics
- Consulted with faculty on ways to improve quality of courses according to best practices
- Reviewed courses from other institutions using their in-house quality rubrics and made recommendations to changes needed for online courses to meet specific guidelines
